8月3日に奈良県吉野にある修験道の聖地、大峯山に登ってきました。この山は女人結界でもある。女性は登ることを許されない。友人がガイドをしてくれて、安心感はあったが、結局、５時間もかかって頂上の大峯山寺に到着。道中、100日回峰行中の行者に会う。100日間、金峯山寺と大峰山寺を往復する修行。あと一週間らしく、法螺貝を吹いてエールを送る。大峯と里山にある洞川温泉は特別な場所だ。何が特別だというと法螺貝の音が聞こえるのが日常になっている。東京の多摩川で法螺貝を吹いたら、速攻、警官が来て、止められた。でも、ここにはそんな締め付けはない。法螺貝の音色が遠くから聞こえ、心地よい。
頂上の宿坊で一泊した。そのお風呂の気持ち良いこと。雨水と山の水だけの質素な湯がこんなに気持ちいいのかと驚く。缶ビールもキンキンに冷えている。日本酒も出してくれた。宿坊のご飯は味噌汁、漬物、高野豆腐だけ。しかし、これでご飯山盛り3杯食ってしまった。山の峰が見える丘で法螺貝を吹くと稲妻が走った。美しい夕陽。修験道の始祖、役行者はこの山ではマイケル・ジャクソンばりのヒーローだ。すべての答えがこの山にあるような気がした。予定がなければ一週間ぐらい居たかった。この気持ちの良いオーラは小笠原諸島に似ている。来年は天上界に少しでも長く居ようと思った。
下界に降りると、また仕事に戻る。今日は8月の末。脚本の苦しみ、撮影の苦しみは馴れていて、その苦しみが喜びに変わる瞬間が訪れるのを知っている。しかし、映画資金を集めるのは困難だ。少しの裏切りも味わった。しかし、多くの支援者が集まってくれている。うまく達成できるかどうか、やるだけやっちまえ！

Episode 11 "Heavenly Baths"
On August 3, I climbed Omineyama, a sacred mountain of Shugendo in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture. This mountain is also a women's boundary. Women are not allowed to climb it. With a friend guiding us, we felt safe, but it ended up taking us five hours to reach Ominesan-ji Temple at the top. On the way, we met a gyojin (ascetic) who was on a 100-day pilgrimage, a 100-day ascetic practice of walking back and forth between Kinpusen-ji and Ominesan-ji. He has one week left to go, so we blow a trumpet to cheer him up. Omine and the Dorogawa hot spring in the satoyama is a special place. What makes it special is that the sound of the conch shells has become an everyday occurrence. If I blew a conch in the Tama River in Tokyo, a policeman would come and stop me immediately. But there is no such clampdown here. The sound of the conch shells could be heard from far away, and it was pleasant.
We stayed overnight at an inn at the top of the mountain. The bath was pleasant. I was surprised at how pleasant the simple bath water, which was only rainwater and mountain water, was. Even the canned beer was cold. Sake was also served. The inn's rice consisted only of miso soup, pickles, and dried tofu. However, I ate three heaping bowls of rice. On a hill where I could see the mountain peaks, I blew a trumpet shell and a bolt of lightning struck me. The sunset was beautiful. The founder of Shugendo, En no Gyoja, is a hero on this mountain, like Michael Jackson. I felt as if all the answers were in this mountain. If I didn't have any plans, I would have stayed for a week. This pleasant aura is similar to that of the Ogasawara Islands. I decided that next year I would stay in the upper world for as long as possible.
Once down here, it was back to work. Today is the end of August. I am used to the pain of scriptwriting and filming, and I know that the moment will come when the pain will turn into joy. But raising money for the film is difficult. I have also experienced a bit of betrayal. But many supporters have come together. Let's just do it and see if we can successfully accomplish it!
